Podcast!

Do you like podcast or non-streamed-webcast? Well I do but here’s a thing, while doing my random search for my podcast, one entry caught my attention. The topic is about chiropractors. I have no idea what that is, so what I did is I downloaded the entry. It was very timely because I’m on a listening-mood that day. The introduction was very intriguing because the speaker talks about chiro and at the same time a construction worker. I thought both are the same. I managed to save a transcript and here it goes.

I realized that for you to be able to understand it more clearly, try to look on a construction worker as an example. If you are going to look at his job, you will surely see that his back and overall trunk muscles work almost nonstop. Well, what could you expect that is vigorously used without proper rest and recuperation? Of course, pain will develop. You should have known more about Einstein’s theory of action and reaction.

The more you use your back, the more chances that you will get low back pain, of course. However, make sure your back and trunk muscles still get enough stimulation because they will really weaken if you do not use them regularly at first they will look smaller until you notice that they are not as strong as they used to be anymore.

Now, the only remaining factor that we haven’t talked about would be, stress. Basically, a stressed individual will really have a lot of troubles dealing with different aches—low back pain included. If you are going to compare an office worker to a construction firm worker and analyze their occupational activities deeper, you will surely see that they both have the same tendencies to have low back pain some time in their life but due to different reasons. One is because of stress and the other is due to trauma.

Now, I realize that chiropractors are medical professionals who treat back pain of the construction workers. I might as well seek their medical advice because I’m feeling some too!
